Well there ya have it. One whole year in Japan. And my, hasn't time flown. Or I should say man, if feels like I've been here for ages. Well its actually a bit of both. When I got here last year, I was already having doubts about coming and when I arrived and saw the state of the apartment I was staying in I felt really pretty shitty. So I thought I'd just try and hang on out here for a few months tops. Well I'm pretty chuffed to say I've been here the whole year. Sure, the food is weird, the fashions are weird, the weathers too hot, the language is beyond me and the cities are choking and claustrophobic but its actually been great.

Oh, and I saw Alexander recently. I'd read plenty of review saying it was terrible but, being one of those huge epics, I just had to see it on the big screen. And, maaan was it crap. It was just so boring. Well actually the two big battles were good, but for the rest there was no pace, no build up of tension, no interesting dialogue or rowsing score, no charisma from the actors. But worst of all - whose bright idea was it to give most of the cast Irish accents?! Hearing Colin Farrell refer to his "lads" was bad enough, but most of his friends had Irish accents - even Val Kilmer and Jared Leto and they're feckin American! The crowning moment was seeing Mick Lally from Glenroe as some sort of Macedonian horse trader speaking with a thick rural Irish accent. Man oh man...
