Plastic Bags and Roll Up Screens

Well its nice to see a good idea catching on. A government minister from Japan was supposed to have been here recently looking into implenting a tax on plastic bags like the one we have here. The difference being that here, it was supposed to help solve the huge litter problem that plastic bags were causing (billowing from trees and drains), while there I'd imagine it must be to cut down on waste, as litter wasn't exactly a huge problem last time I checked. I never really watched Earth: Final Conflict program, cos it was just so so crap, but the one cool thing they had were these nice communicator-type gadgets with roll out screens that were the business. So you could have a tiny gadget like a mobile phone, and then a big screen right when you needed it. Well, we're one step closer thanks to this yoke I saw on engadget.com. Another little gadget for Hanshin Tigers freaks was also available. I've also finally moved into my new accomodation..huzzah. I can now wake up aprrox. 20 minutes later and still get in on time. The only problem is theres nothing in the kitchen to make food with and the gas doesn't work. But I think they're only minor setbacks.
