Preparations

I've spent lots of time in the past few weeks going to camping shops, outdoor adventure shops, and luggage shops looking for stuff I need to get for going away. Flint sticks, emergency heating blankets, flares, water satchels, hiking poles, water purification tablets...I've imagined buying them all. You can't help but stand in front of a set of shelves full of cool gadgets (made all the cooler by the tiny packages they come in) and try and justify the huge fortunes it would cost to buy them. Unfortunatly my bag is now mostly full of boring stuff like socks and lots and lots of immodium. I've somehow got to fit a suit in there too (seeing as I will have to get a job next month) but crunching it up into a ball and stuffing it on top of everything else doesn't seem to be working.
