Monday was a bank holiday thanks to the Queen's birthday, so I decided to visit the Paddy's Market mentioned in all the guides. Still not sure if it started out as a place to sell Irish slaves or was just some place owned by a guy called Paddy. It's actually just a huge warehouse under the shopping centre in Chinatown; kind of reminds me of a couple of the places I saw in Asia except here no one grabs your arm to get your attention.
Also visited the New South Wales Art Gallery, housed in a nice victorian building near the Botanical Gardens. It would have been all the nice with a little sunshine but its been raining almost every day for the past few weeks.
And in less than two weeks my social circle will double when herself arrives! And then I can pretend to be the big Australia expert and show off all my local knowledge.
