On Saturday under orders from herself we went to the only Lindt Chocolate cafe in the world. Why Sydney is the location for this chocolate experience I'm not sure. The place had a significant whiff of money to it, and so did most of the patrons. We ordered the smallest piece of cake imaginable and what we thought was a small hot chocolate (which turned out to be a jug of liquid chocolate to go with a jug of milk). In my younger days I might downed the whole lot no problem but these days, with aching bones and wrinkles its just too much (dare I say rich, Al).

On the way back we came across the filming of a some commercial featuring a whole load of sumo wrestlers marching across an intersection like a troupe of soldiers, blocking traffic. They did this first in their dressing gowns, before stripping down to their tiny nappies and big bellies. I think we might have had the chance to become extras if we'd been inclined.

Also recently found a pretty nice Japanese Izakaya just around the corner from Chinatown. When we went the places was absolutely jammers, a good sign being the large number of Japanese customers. They even have the fancy touch screen ordering setup at each table like some of the places in Japan proper; it also has the added benefit(?) of next to zero customer-staff interaction. Whether this is intended to help out the non-English speaking customers, or the non-English speaking staff, I don't know.

One of the items on the menu was "Sushian Roulette", a plate of sushi one of which has lots of wasabi hidden in it somewhere. Not all that fun if you were eating everything yourself.
