The largest second largest cruise ship in the world docked in Sydney the other day. Big enough in fact that it had to dock next to the navy base on the opposite side of the Botanic gardens instead of at the usual spot in Circular Quay. Big enough to have all the local television news helicopters doing fly pasts.
It was definitely huge but still small enough that I could imagine it getting tossed around like a toy in a big storm. And it must have been moving at about 0.5km/h as it came into the harbour which meant I was standing there for half an hour on top of the bridge getting my face burned by the wind before I realised I'd be there for another hour before it docked.
The people on the other docked ship must have been pretty jealous, standing out on their own tiny deck looking at it come in, stopping and turning around to show off to everyone..
