Expensive Sydney

"Aussie home prices world's most-overpriced: survey" More confirmation (if any was needed) that living in Sydney seems to be getting more and more expensive - this time from the Economist. When I first got here I thought things were a little cheaper than back home, if more expensive compared to other places in Oz. Now it's just feckin' expensive plain and simple. We're currently apartment hunting again because they just keep jacking up the rent here by $20 a week every 6 months (and because of the horribly loud construction site outside). The way things are going I could never imagine being able to afford somewhere that wasn't a 3 hour commute from everywhere.
