Lisbon

Our last minute quick summer holiday this year was to Lisbon - somewhere I've always wanted to visit and now, already being in Europe and not 10000 km's a way, in reach. We had four days of great sunshine in contrast to, well, England. Our last minute hotel was nice and modern but belied it's origins as an office block - all the corridors were weirdly narrow as were the bedrooms. We were also staying accidentally not too far from Lisbon's Bull fighting ring, and had the chance to come back one evening and find an event in full swing, and a silent protest going on outside as well. The next week it was Norah Jones playing I think.
