As you can see not much happening recently. Can't believe theres only two more weeks of kids classes. My Friday school moved into a new building and I got to behold the newness. The place has the sterile feel of a hospital and just like the old school (and most of them) the staff area is really small and theres absolutely nowhere to hide out between classes. Not that the idea of slacking off during work would ever occur to the Japanese staff. On top of that theres a box the size of a refrigerator in my kids room that houses some emergency esacape shut..unfortuatly the kids think this box is way more exciting than my lessons.

Am currently in the process of looking for a new job back home. I haven't exactly come across many companies in my search that are really appealing - but then again I don't know how many companies are activily searching for an employee without experience for the past few years who's being living in Japan.

Everybody already knows the trains in Japan are class. But one of the quirky things is that they have really long platform jingles. And different ones for arriving, departing, out of service and whatever else. So I happened to be taking the last Hankyu train from Umeda the other night and what did I but the theme to the Third Man, complete with jangley sound of the zither..thats just class.

It snowed a lot today for the first time this winter in Kobe (even though its officially Spring). Big white chunks that melted fast..apparently they called it ba-tan yuki (button snow). And here's something useful
