Ravenous Pigeon Digest

I didn't bother telling many students that it was Irelands "National Day" today. Just the one or two that had ever heard of Guinness or new Ireland wasn't next to Greenland.

I'm kicking myself that I haven't gone to sushi places more often until now. Last night after work my flatmate showed me to a real cheap sushi bar (120en for a plate of two pieces) down some side street in Sannomiya. Just sat there eating mysterious fish and rice until the plates stacked up high. And at each stool there was a hot-water tap and green-tea shaker to use to your hearts content. Definetly going there again.

Have taken this coming Saturday off being my last paid holiday. I bought a Seishun 18 ticket which allows you unlimited travel on local trains anywhere in the country for five days. Decided to go to Shikoku (the smallest of the main islands) not having been there yet (Tokyo would have been too far) and hopefully will get a stamp or two from one of their famous 88 temples.
