Dublin Metro again..

This will be of of absolutely no intrest to anyone other than me, but feck ya's anyway. The metro that's due to be built in Dublin (sometime in the next century anyway), to link the city centre with the airport and beyond is supposed to be based on the metro in Porto. It will be underground in the city centre and (..ugh) on stilts or at ground level the rest of the way. Theres planning and consultation and more planning and consultation going on right now to decide on the particular route its going to take and the pdf is here. The following link displays plenty of pictures of what the Porto metro is like (yes, there are apparently, people who take the time to go around and do this..) Does it not look like the feckin luas? Are we going to have two completely different trams in Dublin? Having said that, if there is every a train station like the one pictured under O'Connell St., I'll eat my hat.
