New Yen

I thought and hoped that, being in Japan, I`d escape almost all of the Christmas merchandising and all the crap that goes with it. But it appears not..already in the big department stores there are Santa dummies standing at the entrances along with signs for "lovely smile x-mas". Not only that but the shops are playing all the Chirstmas favourites, and not just Jingle Bells but specifically Christian ones which is weird. So theres no escaping Christmas... ..unless I decide to go to Singapore instead :) I`d wanted to go abroad for the summer holliers but having failed to do so, I just had to go somewhere for Christmas holliers, particularly as most of the crowd here are either going back home or off to some other scenic destination (ie. Thailand). So I thought Singapore would be as good a place to go as any, and I think some of the lads from back home are gonna come out in an effort to escape all the seasonal cheer from there. Found this site off p45rant.com which is pretty cool. You can see the most popular news stories in the world along with pictures for them and its updated every hour. And, using sophistimicated jiggery-pokery it selectes the most popular news of the hour, day, month, and year. Worth at least 10 seconds of idleness surely... I`ve finally added thumbnails to all the photos I have up, so when you click on any down the left handside, you`ll get a list of thumbnails instead thus saving you the hassle of looking at boring photos (boring photos?...surely you jest). Last week a new set of Yen bills were introduced with some new pictures and extra hollographic stuff. See what you think.
