Got off the metro this morning at Kowloon station, a huge station and complex of new apartment blocks and the tallest building in Hong Kong under construction. Tried to take a few photos but some annoying security guard stopped me. I don't really think I look like the type to blow up buildings.

Went to the Science Museum which was a nice diversion but not that interesting. Nearby there is an avenue of the stars, where all the Hong Kong actors have their stars and handprints - everybody wanted their photo in front of the Bruce Lee statue.

Today being Sunday there was also the weekly Kung Fu demonstration in Kowloon Park. Unfortunately there was a disappointing number of bad asses showing off their trade. The rest were all retired people (or getting there..) performing very slow dance like moves that wouldn't have kicked anybody around. Slightly disappointed. After lunch I got the bus out to Kowloon Walled City Park. Check here for a rundown of the walled city because it really must have been an amazing sight. The park they've built in its place is pleasant enough and they even have a scale model of the original walled city, not the amazing monstrosity it became.

Went to the huge Exhibition centre where the handover to China was made and outside the big golden lotus where hawkers offered to take photos in front of it for a small/huge price. Took the Star Lines ferry, the old ferry thats been running for a hundred years (no junk style boats in site unfortunately), across the harbour for 22 HK cents, which is about 2 euro cents.
